Okanagan Events FAQ
Everything you need to know about how this page works and what to expect.
-
What kinds of events are covered on this page?
We cover a wide range of events happening across the South Okanagan โ including farmers markets, wine and food festivals, live music, theatre, outdoor adventure events, sporting competitions, holiday markets, family days, and community gatherings. If it’s worth showing up for, it belongs here. We focus primarily on events in Penticton, Oliver, Osoyoos, Summerland, Naramata, Keremeos, Princeton, and the surrounding area.
-
How often is the events calendar updated?
Monthly event pages are published ahead of each month and updated as new information becomes available. This hub page is updated whenever a new monthly calendar goes live. For the most current events, always check the current month’s calendar page directly, as event dates and details can change.
-
Does this page only focus on the South Okanagan?
Primarily yes โ our home base is the South Okanagan Valley, from Penticton south to Osoyoos, plus the Similkameen corridor including Keremeos and Princeton. That said, we occasionally highlight significant events in Kelowna, West Kelowna, Summerland, and the broader Okanagan region when they’re worth knowing about. Our community pages cover the full range.
-
Where do I find the latest events calendar?
The most current calendar is always linked at the top of this page under the “On Now” section and in the calendar grid below. Right now, that’s the April 2026 Events Calendar. As new monthly pages are published, they’ll appear in the calendar grid above and in the featured section โ so bookmarking this hub page is the easiest way to stay current.
-
Are the events listed family-friendly?
Many of the events we feature are family-friendly โ farmers markets, outdoor festivals, community days, holiday events, and sports are all great for kids. For adult-oriented events like wine festivals or evening concerts, we note the nature of the event clearly. If you’re planning a family weekend, look for events tagged or described as community days, markets, or seasonal outdoor activities โ those are almost always appropriate for all ages.
-
I’m an event organizer โ how do I get my event listed?
We’d love to hear from you. If you’re organizing an event in the South Okanagan or Similkameen region and want to make sure it’s included in an upcoming monthly calendar, reach out via our contact page. Include the event name, date, location, a brief description, and any ticketing or registration link, and we’ll do our best to include it in the relevant monthly post.
