Ignite the Arts Festival 2026
The 5th annual Ignite the Arts takes over downtown Penticton with 60+ musical and performing acts across 10 venues. Kicks off with the Parade for No Reason on Friday evening. Folk, electronic, hip hop, spoken word, theatre, dance, and visual arts โ three days of choose-your-own-adventure culture. Featuring Fred Penner, Shane Koyczan, 3 Jack Generation Hand Drummers, and many more.

106 teams from across Western Canada and the US descend on Penticton for 196 games of elite student-athlete hockey. Champions crowned in U15, U17, and U18 divisions. The 11th time Penticton has hosted this massive event โ great energy across town all month long.

Punk-rock legends Rise Against bring their high-energy, socially charged anthems to Penticton. Joined by Destroy Boys and Speed. This show is sold out โ check for last-minute resale tickets only. All ages.

The 6th annual Artisans Showcase brings together local crafters, small businesses, and makers from across the Okanagan Valley. DIY workshops, live painting, garden decor ideas, and pottery demos. Saturday 9 AM โ 5 PM, Sunday 10 AM โ 3 PM. Admission $5 weekend / $3 daily. Kids 12 and under free.
Market Details Community30th Annual Penticton Home & Reno Show
The Okanagan’s biggest home show turns 30 this year. Produced by CHBA South Okanagan, this is where builders, decorators, and renovators showcase everything from cabinetry to solar energy. Exhibitor contests with prizes up to $3,500. Entry by donation.

106 student-athlete hockey teams from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Idaho and Washington compete across Penticton venues. 196 games over two weeks โ Penticton’s 11th time hosting.

Penticton’s inaugural Maple Festival celebrates Francophone culture โ maple taffy on snow, crepes, pancakes, workshops, live music, and games for all ages. Free admission.
Principal flutist Heather Beaty makes her solo debut. An eclectic program from a fiery flute concerto to Haydn’s “Surprise” Symphony No. 94. A beautiful evening of live orchestral music.
Penticton UpperDek Vees joined by teams from Kamloops and Central Okanagan. Free admission with optional cash donation supporting OSNS Child and Youth Development Centre.
Local dance academy presents their competition showcase on the Venables Theatre stage. A great family-friendly evening of talent from South Okanagan youth.
Oliver’s Firehall Brewery hosts its Stewfest competition โ local cooks compete for People’s Choice and Judges’ Choice honours. Winning stews featured at the brewpub through St. Patrick’s Day.
One of Canada’s top stand-up comedians brings his “Oxy Moron” tour to the Venables Theatre. Presented by Shantero Productions.
Live music from The Blueshounds at Cawston’s community hall. Shake off the winter blues with this Similkameen Valley tradition. Tickets from Pharmasave in Keremeos or Cawston Market Place.
Snowboarding event featuring splitboard race, banked slalom, stopstyle, and rail jam. Spring skiing vibes at the South Okanagan’s local ski hill near Oliver.

Firehall Open Mic & Jam Night
Local musicians take the stage at Oliver’s beloved Firehall Brewery brewpub. A South Okanagan staple for live, unplugged local talent.
Music Bingo โ Backroads Brewing Co.
A fun weekly twist on bingo with a musical edge. Great for a casual weeknight out in Osoyoos.
Wine & Song Wednesdays โ Maestro’s
50% off bottles of wine every Wednesday with live Okanagan talent performing 6โ8 PM on Lakeshore Road. A midweek treat that’s become a local favourite.
