โ“ Common Questions

Events Calendar FAQ

Everything you need to know about using this events calendar, submitting events, and getting the most out of your Okanagan weekends.

  • What events are happening in the Okanagan in June 2026?

June 2026 highlights include the 45th Annual Summerland Action Festival (June 5โ€“7, free), HaHaHaKidzfest in Penticton (June 4โ€“6), Okanagan Super Sprints on Skaha Lake (June 13โ€“14), the Penticton Regional Bridge Tournament (June 15โ€“21), and a blockbuster final weekend featuring the Peach City Beach Cruise, the Pacific Northwest Elvis Festival (both June 26โ€“28), and Dwight Yoakam Live at the South Okanagan Events Centre (June 28). Weekly farmers markets and community markets run every Saturday all month.

  • Is the Summerland Action Festival really free?

Yes โ€” the Summerland Action Festival is free to attend. The outdoor concerts at Memorial Park bandshell, the family zone, vendor market, Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, Giant’s Head Run, and Summerland’s Got Talent are all publicly accessible. Some activities like the Slo-Pitch Tournament are participant-registered rather than ticketed. The beverage garden requires purchase. Always confirm full details at summerlandactionfestival.ca ahead of your visit.

  • What’s the difference between the Elvis Festival events?

The Pacific Northwest Elvis Festival has multiple components. The free outdoor events at Okanagan Lake Park run Friday and Saturday (doors open at noon, wristband entry $25/day or $50/weekend). The indoor Convention Centre events are separately ticketed: Saturday Night Tribute Show starts at 8 PM (tickets from ~$53โ€“$82), and Sunday Judged Finals start at 2 PM. There’s also an unofficial kick-off party at The Hub on Martin on Thursday June 25 ($20, just 110 tickets). Check pentictonelvisfestival.ca for the full schedule and current pricing.

  • Where can I find South Okanagan events?

This events calendar covers the full South Okanagan including Penticton, Oliver, Osoyoos, Summerland, Keremeos, Okanagan Falls, Cawston, and Princeton. We update it monthly with verified events from local tourism boards, venues, and community organizations. You can also check visitpenticton.com, destinationosoyoos.com, and oliverosoyoos.com for town-specific listings.

  • Are these events family-friendly?

Many June events are excellent for families โ€” the Summerland Action Festival, HaHaHaKidzfest, Okanagan Super Sprints, and the free outdoor Elvis Festival park shows are all family-appropriate. The Peach City Beach Cruise is also family-friendly with free car show viewing. The indoor Elvis Festival shows and Dwight Yoakam concert are all-ages but primarily adult events. Always confirm age restrictions and ticket requirements with the official event organizer before attending with children.

  • How often is this events calendar updated?

We update this calendar at the beginning of each month with verified events for the upcoming 4โ€“6 weeks. Featured events are confirmed with official organizers. If an event changes or cancels after we publish, we recommend checking the official event page linked in each listing for the most current information.

  • Can I submit an event to be featured?

Yes. If you are organizing an event in the Okanagan Valley and would like it featured on this calendar, contact us here with your event name, date, location, description, and a link to the official event page. We prioritize community events, festivals, markets, and family-friendly activities.
